Who it's built for

Built around how professionals
actually work

Three professional contexts, each with a different need — served by the same dashboard.

Family law attorneys

Your clients come in with folders of screenshots and weeks of unstructured anxiety. Clarity means they arrive with a structured brief instead — so your first session is productive from minute one.

  • Watermarked briefings for professional review
  • Records timestamped at the point of entry
  • A document index in every briefing
  • Read-only access granted by the client — you see what they choose to share

Therapists & counsellors

Understanding a client's full situation before you begin is the difference between productive first sessions and weeks of onboarding. The Witness case brief gives you that understanding before you've asked a single question.

  • Witness summary of behaviour patterns and severity
  • A professional briefing to read before the first session
  • Timeline view of the client's entries
  • No clinical diagnosis — Clarity names behaviours, you interpret them

Family support advocates

Referral pathways that actually work. Invite a client from your dashboard — once they accept and choose what to share, their record sits alongside your other clients.

The professional's problem

The first session shouldn't be spent building the timeline

When a client walks in unprepared, the professional pays the cost. Clarity shifts the prep work to before the appointment.

01
Unstructured intake
Most clients arrive with disorganised screenshots, fragmented recollections, and emotional distress — none of which can be immediately used in a professional context. Building the timeline happens on your clock.
02
No pattern visibility
A single incident is rarely the point. The pattern of escalation, timing, and recurrence is what matters professionally — and it's invisible without aggregation over time.
03
Documentation gaps at critical moments
Clients often start documenting too late — after the first court date, or when the attorney asks for it. Clarity encourages documentation from day one, so the record exists when it's needed.
04
Format incompatibility
Screenshots and notes aren't a briefing. Clarity's professional briefing is dated, watermarked and indexed, and built for professional review.
What professionals tell us
“The Clarity summary is the most useful first briefing I've ever received. I knew exactly what we were dealing with before the client said a word.”
Family law attorney, London
“I used to spend two sessions just establishing the timeline. Now I have it before we begin. Clarity has changed how I open every case.”
Therapist, New York
The time saving
A structured client record is meant to cut the hours spent rebuilding a timeline from screenshots and notes. For attorneys, that time would otherwise land on the client's bill at intake.

How it works

From invite to briefing.
In four steps.

Designed around the professional's workflow — not the other way around.

01

Send a client invite

From your dashboard, invite a client. They accept from their own Clarity account and choose what you can see.

Connecting with a professional needs a paid Clarity plan on the client's side. Existing Clarity users can accept too.
02

Client logs their record

Your client documents incidents in plain language over time and can ask Witness to name behaviours and find patterns. The timeline builds itself — no work for you.

You have read-only access. The record is entirely theirs — they control what you can see and can revoke access at any time.
03

Review the Witness brief

Before your first session, you receive a Witness case summary. Behaviour patterns, incident timeline, severity distribution, and escalation trends — all in a format designed for professional review.

By default you see the record as of the day it was shared. The client can refresh it, or turn on live access.
04

Export for professional use

Generate a professional briefing as a PDF — dated, watermarked, and built for professional review.

Every entry is timestamped at the point of entry, and every export carries your name, a document ID and when it was generated.

Dashboard features

needs. Nothing they don't.

Common questions

What professionals
ask before signing up

Can my clients afford Clarity?+

The core Clarity app is free — unlimited entries, behaviour tagging, and a PDF export of the record. Connecting with a professional needs a paid plan on the client's side, and Witness features come with the paid plans. Your professional plan is separate and charged to you, not passed on to the client. Hardship accounts are available for clients experiencing financial difficulty.

Do my clients control what I can see?+

Yes. Clients grant you read-only access to the parts of their record they choose — and can change it or revoke it at any time without your involvement. Entries they mark private are never shown to you. You cannot add, edit, or delete any entries in their record. Conversations you take part in are different: like any participant, you can always read them.

Can Clarity records be used in court?+

Clarity records are one individual's personal account, timestamped at the point of entry and provided as source material for professional review. They do not constitute legal evidence or a verified statement of fact, and admissibility depends on jurisdiction and how records are presented. We recommend discussing use of Clarity records with your local bar association or relevant professional body. Clarity does not provide legal advice.

How does the client invite system work?+

From a case on your dashboard, you invite a client. When they accept, they choose what you can see, and their shared record appears on the case. They can change that, or revoke access, at any time.

Is Clarity appropriate for all my clients, or only some?+

Clarity is designed for clients documenting difficult interpersonal situations — high-conflict relationships, custody disputes, coercive control, workplace harassment, and similar contexts. It is not designed for crisis intervention (where immediate safety support is more appropriate) or for post-resolution documentation where proceedings have concluded. If you're uncertain whether Clarity is appropriate for a specific client, contact us and we'll help you assess.

What data security standards does Clarity meet?+

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and Clarity encrypts the text of entries, schedule items, expenses, messages, notes about people, document titles and summaries, and what Witness writes, before it is stored, with the key kept apart from the database and its backups. Uploaded files and the text read from them, file names, a professional's own notes and names are not covered by that encryption. Every professional read of a client's record is logged, and the client can see it. Our privacy policy describes every kind of service that processes client data. For specific compliance requirements, contact us to discuss your needs.
